This cubist and angular sculpture of a standing man was made by the Songye people of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is a very handsome example with the large head slightly to the left, coffee bean eyes, a wide rectangular mouth and a small beard. It is worth noting that this figure features both pronounced nipples and a penis.
